Your new company
Our clients, a public sector organisation based in North West London are now looking for a Voids Contracts Manager to join their team on a long-term contractual basis. The team manages Housing Repairs and Maintenance and due to increased workload are looking for a Voids Manager to help manage voids and make sure all targets are met.
All the properties are based in the North West London area, as are the organisations main office. The organisation has always promoted a flexible approach to work therefore you will have the option to either work from home or from the office, when inspections are not required.

Your new role
As the Voids Contract Manager, you will be responsible for one voids surveyor already in team, managing your own voids inspections and be tasked with formulating strategies to improve the efficiency of the voids team overall.
The organisation uses contractors to carry out repairs and maintenance as and when required, so you will manage the inspection and repairs process, whilst ensuring the organisation gets best value for money and that existing contract terms are adhered too. As part of your job you will also manage tenders, specifications and appointments of new contractors.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you must have experience of working in a housing voids team and have a relevant building qualification. You must also have a track record of service improvement, where you have demonstrated measurable service improvements. An overall understanding of the voids process is also an essential for this job. If you have experience of managing/dealing with contractors, this will enhance your application. Local Government or Housing Association experience will be ideal however the client will consider all relevant applications.
Please note as you will be covering a large part of North West London having a full driver's license and vehicle is essential for the job.
