UCL is one of the world’s leading multi-disciplinary universities. We operate in a global context and are committed to excellence, innovation and the promotion of global understanding in all our activities: research, teaching, learning, enterprise and community engagement.

UCL’s estate is unique, rich in history, at the heart of London and diverse in use. Our 270 buildings are predominately located in Bloomsbury in Central London but with a number of specialist satellite sites beyond that. The scale, variety and complexity of the estate is unparalleled within the sector. To support the delivery of UCL’s 20-year strategy, UCL2034, are delivering a £1.8bn capital investment programme to develop a truly inspiring estate for our students, staff, visitors and partners.  This includes the development of UCL East, our new campus at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, which will offer world class research, teaching and living accommodation within the largest cultural and educational development in Europe.

As we continue to invest in our estate and campus environment we are creating an industry-leading team focused on developing an estates strategy to support the UCL Vision and Mission to 2034 and beyond.  The Director of Property and Asset Management will drive forward the development of the UCL Estates Strategy, and lead a team responsible for space management and property asset management across our portfolio.

We are seeking an exceptional leader with a proven track record in estates leadership roles across a large scale, diverse and complex real estate portfolio.   You will have broad experience spanning development, property asset management and space and workplace management.  The role calls for an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and that demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm and passion for UCL’s Vision and Mission, with the ability to translate this into the delivery of world-class estates strategy and property asset management.
