Housing Project Manager - Deliver planned maintenance works, improving the lives of tenants across East Devon


Your new company
As a Housing Planned Works Surveyor you will be joining a public sector organisation who are located within an area of outstanding natural beauty, a well ran council who's aim is to provide a great service and opportunities for the residents and businesses located in East Devon - your role will sit at the heart of this mission statement.

Your new role
You will assist in the delivery of planned and cyclical maintenance works and improvement programmes across over 4000 residential homes. Your role will provide opportunity for you to develop specifications, tender documents and contracts for major repairs and improvements. You will also supervise contractors and consultants to ensure works are completed to a high standard, with value for money achieved.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this position you will need to old a HNC or equivalent in construction, or have a degree in Building Surveying or equivalent. You will need to have some experience in the delivery of planned maintenance works, this does not have to be in housing, but must simply be in an environment where you have needed to create the specification of works, and deliver a project through to completion.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a starting salary of £31,346 alongside a wide range of benefits including 24 days annual leave + bank holidays rising to 27 after 5 years' service. Access to local government pension scheme, and flexible working arrangements - this role will allow working from home for the majority of the time, with a requirement to visit East Devon for inspections and site visits, or for team meetings.
