We're delighted to be supporting a well-established and leading consultancy to recruit a Building Surveyor to add to their small yet successful team of 4. Based in their modern and state of the art offices in Cambridge, the team pride themselves in their work and as a result have a range of longstanding and repeat clients across the region. The team work closely with a range of landlords and tenants, having strong reputation and workstream in the life-sciences sector in Cambridge. Your new role
As the most recent addition to the Building Surveying team, you'll play a key role in helping to manage and develop an impressive network of landlords and tenants across Cambridge. You'll be involved in a range of professional and project work.

You'll be carrying out Building Surveys of all types for both commercial and residential properties. You'll be preparing advising on party wall matters, preparing schedules of dilapidations, schedules of condition and advising client on building defects and potential maintenance requirements.

The Building Surveyor will have the opportunity to manage project manage a range of refurbishment, conversion and new build projects, taking these from feasibility studies through to completion. You'll be involved in contract administration, ensuring compliance with the CDM regulations, advising clients as required and helping to ensure a high quality of delivery, to time and cost.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with relevant experience and a sound knowledge of building surveying, you'll also have a knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant landlord and tenant legislation. You'll have an ability to work independently and manage your own workload, with a good track record of delivering projects at varying values and with the relevant contract administration as well. You will have good communication and presentation skills as well as a full driving license as the role may require frequent travel.

The Building Surveyor will receive a salary of up to £45,000, a contributory pension and 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
