Facilities Project Manager (Part-Time) - Redruth

Facilities Project Manager required for a part-time role in Cornwall - Long-term opportunity - £19.50 per hour.

Your new company
You will be working for one of the regions largest provider of facilities and property management, joining a communities team responsible for delivering a service across the education and healthcare sectors. Specifically you will be joining a team responsible for minor upgrades to a number of PFI schools across the Redruth and Truro regions.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the delivery of contract changes to school buildings across the region, these changes could include replacement building components, lighting or alarm upgrades, replacement IT systems or new fixtures and fittings. Your role will involve handling of the initial request from the school before visiting the site to inspect the change required, you'll then be tasked with obtaining a number of quotes from local contractors before appointing a contractor for the works, and processing the approved purchase orders. You will ensure the contractor undertakes works to the required standard, and liaise with stakeholders throughout to ensure of satisfactory completion.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position you will have an ONC or equivalent qualification, alongside a demonstrable background and track record in the building maintenance sector.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an hourly rate of £19.50 per hour payable as a basic PAYE rate. Further to this you'll receive a part-time contract of 15 hours per week worked across two days - you will be able to choose your days of work each week. Whilst this contract is initially interim in nature, there is a high possibility of progressing into a permanent / more fixed version of this position if desired.
