Development Surveyor - Graduate to Experienced, Permanent, Salary up to £35,000, Suffolk

Your new company
We're delighted to be working exclusively with an award winning developer in the East of England to recruit a Development Surveyor. You'll be replacing someone that we placed a number of years ago who is moving on to another role/company.

You'll be joining a small team of 35 or so staff covering a range of development matters, from site acquisition to construction. The team deliver around 110 homes per year with ambitions to grow the development pipeline. The company is stable, well funded and have a significant land bank that they are building out.

Your new role
As a Development Surveyor, you will work as part of the team in delivering planning support on a variety of residential development projects. Reporting into the Development Director, you will be involved in the site acquisition process and in the preparation of residential development schemes. This will include the submission and monitoring of planning applications, as well as ensuring all pre-construction consents are in place to enable development to proceed.

The position will offer the opportunity to gain experience in all areas of residential development, and will enable suitable candidates to work towards RICS qualification. The Director has previously supervised APC students and helped them to achieve their RICS chartered status.

What you'll need to succeed
As a Development Surveyor you'll ideally hold a degree in a construction or surveying related discipline and will preferably have experience from working in the construction sector. You'll have a keen eye for detail, be a good communicator and be able to produce written reports and recommendations on developments. The client is happy to look at graduate level through to experienced and the salary will be dependant on your level of experience.

What you'll get in return

You'll receive a salary of between £22,000 to £35,000 depending on experience, with 21 days annual leave + bank holidays, a 5% matched contributory pension, private healthcare and a range of other flexible benefits.
