Associate Mechanical Engineer - Building Services Consultancy - £60-65k - Nottingham

A small Nottingham based design consultancy are looking to appoint an additional mechanical engineer at Principal / Associate level. They work with a variety of clients in the commercial / industrial space on projects such as food & beverage facilities, leisure, commercial offices, high rise residential, schools, health centres etc.

They require an experience Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years consultancy experience.


Your new role

You will be responsible for the delivery of mechanical design projects for clients mainly in the commercial and industrial sectors. You will be client facing and take projects from initial concept through to final handover with the client. You will work with a mixture of end users and main/sub contractors. You will be responsible for delegating work to junior members of staff and providing training and support where necessary.

Ideally you will be able to create design drawings and carry out calculations with industry standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES, Hevacomp.

What you'll need to succeed

• At least 10 years experience working in a building services consultancy
• Able to take the lead on design projects
• Can demonstrate a project portfolio with a wide variety of sectors / project types
• Excellent knowledge of industry standard design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IES etc)
• Experience leading / mentoring teams of junior engineers
