Leading Contractor with National Footprint seeks Business Development Manager to join their Scottish Business

Our client are a large tier 2 business with a strong presence across all major markets in the UK. With a deep presence in the Scotland construction market they are seeking to recruit for a Business Development Manager to join their business to work alongside the senior leadership team.


Your new role
As Business Development manager you will play a key role in ensuring our clients capability and enviable track record of project delivery is marketed properly across the building construction market in Scotland. You will be responsible for ensuing that a constant pipeline of project opportunities within our clients target markets are being delivered to the estimating and preconstruction team.

This will involve constant networking and business development across the key stakeholders in this space from Project Management firms to Architects and you will ensure that our clients capability is being marketed correctly to these decision makers. Our clients key target market market is across commercial construction within the public and private development market in Scotland. Key sectors include education , leisure and retail projects.


What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be already ensconced within the construction market in Scotland and have a deep understanding of the key market sectors our client are looking to target. You will have knowledge of the key decision makers within target organisations and institutions and you understand how to ensure our client are positioned within this market to ensure any opportunities are fully explored and executed upon. You will be a motivated self starter and enjoy the cut and thrust of winning projects within the construction sector.

This role would suit an experienced business development professional within this space or would suit a construction professional who enjoys the process of winning projects and has an aspiration to move their career into a business development /preconstruction space. Our client are open to candidates of a different background and are also open to considering candidates seeking an opportunity on a part time or flexible basis.
