Your new company
A well established, technically excellent, and growing global MEP consultancy is seeking a new head of life-sciences to take a lead on a fast expanding market sector. This respected business is well known for working on large-scale and complex projects, including large scale mixed-use, prime real-estate regeneration, high-value commercial spaces, high-rise, retail centres and data-centres. In recent years they have successfully opened a new market in life-sciences, and have enjoyed success delivering projects and creating a healthy pipeline of future work. Now seeking a new addition to their leadership team to take ownership of the life-sciences sector, lead on projects, and drive continued growth.

Your new role
You will join an established London office of 70 engineers and expert consultants, part of a large network of global offices. You will take a key position as head of life sciences, taking ownership of project delivery, resource management, and client relationships. Current pipeline focuses on laboratories, and there is scope to expand into other project types. You will have support of the wider team to deliver projects and be given authority to expand your own team of life-science experts. You will carefully manage existing client relationships to ensure project success and repeat business, as well as develop new relationships and expand your client-case.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a confident, capable, and technically expert engineer with a track record of work on life-sciences projects. Experience from other technical environments will also be appreciated to complement life-sciences experience. You will have experience of delivering exceptional engineering standards, and solving complex design challenges. You will have an excellent client-facing personality and understand how to represent a strong and growing brand. You will be familiar with managing project costs and timelines. You will have a strong interest in developing new client relationships and winning new work. You will have relevant qualifications in engineering.
