Our client is a small and independent cost consultancy based in South West London but with an extended regional presence around the UK. They’re quickly growing towards 10 staff and already employ accomplished surveyors (many Chartered) with particularly backgrounds in high end residential, hospitality and hotel development experience. Alongside offering traditional pre & post contract administration services they also offer Employers Agent services.

Following strategic hires last year they’re continuing to develop an ‘engine room’ of hungry project runners and as such, they’re seeking to appoint an Assistant /Intermediate level Quantity Surveyor to principally support them on a number of projects across the business and in doing so, providing you with the necessary support through any APC journey. This really is a fantastic training opportunity for a young or developing qualified surveyor who is keen to be working in a close knit team!

Your role will include a multitude of traditional tasks from rudimentary pre & post contract administration duties (measurement, tender reviews, reporting, budget estimating etc) and other responsibilities such as controlling purchase orders, attending design and site meetings, inspections, compiling defects and assessing completions, assistance with project documentation (JCT).

Assistant level candidates wishing to apply must have completed a BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying (RICS accredited) degree with either an 12 month industrial placement or a minimum period of 6 months post-graduation work experience. However, candidates will be considered with up to 3-5 years professional (PQS) experience to date.

Key personal criteria includes being personable, articulate and presentable. You will be given immediate opportunities re: client contact so you should be confident and robust in your ability to handle good levels of responsibility. Candidates should also have good, competent IT skills.

An excellent opportunity for any young surveyor! Salary guide is £30,000 - 50,000 (dependent on experience) + Benefits
