Quantity Surveyor

Expanding Civil Contractor seeks QS for large multi year project based in Edinburgh.

Your new company
Our client are an expanding contractor who are currently working on a large and critical infrastructure project which is helping transform the way people work and live. As this project grows they are seeking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to their team based in South Edinburgh.


Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor , reporting to the Commercial Manager , you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of an important piece of infrastructure for the people Edinburgh and Glasgow. This project could be defined as civil construction so you will be managing a range of packages encompassing groundworks and excavations along with reinstatement. As Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for compiling accurate claims for payments based on works completed along with documenting and capturing any contract variations or exceptions. This is a complex and interesting project and will offer an ambitious QS the opportunity to work on a large multi million package.


What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a degree or similiar in Quantity Surveying. You will have some experience of working on civil projects and have a strong understanding of measurement off drawings and compiling accurate claims for payment. Our client are open to project experience but any candidate with civils , infrastructure or utilities experience would be highly regarded.
