Project Manager - Construction

We are a disability confident employer and we particularly encourage applications from BAME and female applicants as we are currently under represented in these areas

About us: An opportunity has arisen for two Project Manager (Construction) roles within the University’s Estates Projects team. The team oversees the delivery of alterations, small and large refurbishments, as well as major new capital developments. The main focus of the job is to provide high quality project management for the implementation and delivery of a range of key complex and/or major capital projects within the University’s Capital Development programme. In addition to delivering the estate objectives the project priorities also include health and safety, sustainability, wellbeing, Digital construction and softlandings.

About you: You will have experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams on technically complex construction projects and be able to direct the team in order to achieve the University’s development strategy. You will be confident at communicating and negotiating at all levels and have the drive and enthusiasm to deliver projects from initial concept through design, specification, planning, tender preparation and evaluation to the supervision of construction completion and occupation.

Working as part of a motivated, friendly and engaging team you will be able to contribute to and support the future development of the estate and industry innovations.

A city with a creative and fiercely independent mindset, a vibrant music scene, great restaurants and interesting business ventures. Bristol was the first British city to win the European Green Capital award in 2015, The Sunday Times newspaper named Bristol the best city to live in Britain thanks to its culture, nightlife and proximity to beautiful countryside while National Geographic listed Bristol as 11th in the world's 'cool list' destinations, ahead of Paris and Amsterdam, so it’s not surprising Bristol is consistently named as one of the best places to live and work in the UK.
