Engineer - Public Sector

Leading Public Sector Organisation requires Engineer to join their transport planning team.

Your new company
Our client are a leading public sector organisation based in Edinburgh. With a large transport plan to implement they are seeking to add an engineer to their roads and asset management team to conduct an interesting project over the next 12 months.


Your new role
As engineer or roads officer you will be tasked to conduct an audit and examination of a critical part of this organisations transport infrastructure. This role will involve physically inspecting this infrastructure , assessing it under key criteria and writing reports which will feed into this organisations overall transport and sustainable travel strategy.


What you'll need to succeed
Our client are flexible on background of candidate but ideally a degree in transport planning or civil engineering and some experience of working in a public sector body would be highly advantageous. An interest and passion in driving sustainable travel would also be highly regarded. The ideal person would be self motivated and have an ability to work on own initiative. Travel expenses will be paid but you must have access to your own transport. Our client are now working in a hybrid manner so there will be an opportunity to work from home aswell.
