Opportunity to join Bailey Partnership as a Project Manager leading on delivery of EWS1 external wall work

Hays have been retained by Bailey Partnership who are seeking a number of experienced Project Managers who will play an integral role in leading on EWS1 Building Safety Fund work across the South of the UK. Your new role
Your role will involve delivery of construction work which has been identified following the completion of EWS1 Surveys. These surveys are focused on external wall systems on residential buildings, which have been assessed for combustibility and spread of flame. This is a varied role which will be centred around high levels of stakeholder engagement, coordinating a design team and other key client or contractor stakeholders. You will manage multiple projects at any one time, often at various stages, ranging in value from £250,000 through to £10,000,000.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be an excellent fit for this position if you can meet the following criteria:

  • Experience in the JCT suite of contracts
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous experience delivering a range of construction projects of varying complexity and value


You may have a professional background as a Quantity Surveyor or Building Surveyor, or alternatively you may have delivered projects for contractors. If you are qualified and a member with RICS, CIOB or RIBA this would be desirable, but not essential.

This role will offer a starting salary of between £45,000 - £50,000 dependent on level of experience. You'll have access to a contributory company pension scheme and generous annual leave contribution.

By nature, this role will involve travel to site location, at other times you'll be set-up to work remotely from home, which will be encouraged. However, you may also need to meet with your team or work form an office from time to time, at which point you could work from any of Bailey Partnership's network of offices in Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol or Sevenoaks.
