EWS1 Surveying Team Leader - South UK

Hays have been retained by Bailey Partnership who are seeking Programme Team Leader who will play an integral role in leading on EWS1 Building Safety Fund work across the South of the UK. Your new role
Your role will involve leading a team of Building Surveyor's who are tasked with undertaking building surveys which will enable building owners to confirm that an external wall system on residential buildings as been assessed for combustibility and spread of flame. Your role will involve the provision of technical input where required as well as involvement for more complicated or higher profile surveys. You'll also lead the Surveying team, coordinating activity and ensuring EWS1 surveys are produced to the required standard and on time. You do not need to be a fire specialist however will have excellent building pathology and building technology knowledge.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be an excellent fit for this position if you can meet the following criteria:

• Professional membership with RICS, CIOB, RIBA or similar
• Excellent building pathology or building technology knowledge
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Prior team leadership or team management experience

You may also have some experience or knowledge of fire safety in buildings, EWS1 training or cladding, however this is not essential to be considered for this position.

This role will offer a starting salary of between £48,000 - £55,000 dependent on level of experience. You'll have access to a contributory company pension scheme and generous annual leave contribution.

By nature, this role will involve travel to site location, at other times you'll be set-up to work remotely from home, which will be encouraged. However, you may also need to meet with your team or work form an office from time to time, at which point you could work from any of Bailey Partnership's network of offices in Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol or Sevenoaks.
