Job Details

Facilities and Estates Project Manager. Fixed Term Contract - Minimum 10 months. Client Side. £700 per day.

Your new role
You will be responsible for driving and overseeing the delivery of the project to ensure that the objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints. This role will focus on the provision of accommodation and services to meet the requirements of the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery - Create and lead the project to deliver the agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints.
  • Project Management - Day to day management and leadership of the project and the project team. Provide effective leadership and management controls. Develop and maintain detail Project Plans, tracking progress of deliverables. Set project controls. Manage effective transition between project phases. Handling property events on the estate including: acquisitions; Lease ends and breaks; Exits and disposals and associated dilapidations issues; tenant management; Landlord liaison (private and public sector); asset management including lifecycle planning
  • Resources - Identify skill requirements; and deploy and develop resources. Effective management and direction of specialist support contracts in order to achieve desired outcomes, including: estate professional advisers; furniture providers; Technical advisers; Legal advisers and Facilities Management Services providers.
  • Stakeholder Management - Effective management and direction of specialist support contracts in order to achieve desired outcomes, including: estate professional advisers; furniture providers; Technical advisers; Legal advisers and Facilities Management Services providers.
  • Risks & Issues - Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate. Identify and work with related projects to manage interdependencies.
  • Governance - Proactive engagement with stakeholders in order to gather and analyse views and requirements, explain constraints, timescales and options, understand and take account of requirements and aspirations, and to provide effective and timely communications to them.
  • Assurance - Provision of accurate and timely management information in relation to key data and metrics, including: costs; space utilisation; service provision performance; asset management; health and safety, sustainability; and lifecycle planning.
  • Change Management - Proactive engagement with stakeholders in order to gather and analyse views and requirements, explain constraints, timescales and options, understand and take account of requirements and aspirations, and to provide effective and timely communications to them.
  • Guidance and Support - Provide support, guidance and coaching for the project team. Show commitment to personal development. Promote effective individual and team performance.





What you'll need to succeed

  • Have a track record of experience in estate/property/facilities/project management.
  • Have a good understanding of property management processes, principles and terminology.
  • Have a good understanding of UK government estate strategy and the role and aims of the Government Property Agency. Level.
  • Have clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have experience of writing business cases
  • Possess one or more relevant qualifications
  • Have a good understanding of UK government aims in relation to smarter working.
  • Have experience of modern workspace design
