Quantity Surveyor (Executive Adjuster)

We are looking to attract a Quantity Surveyor (Executive Adjuster) to join the UK Adjusting Team at DWF, an award-winning global legal business. Construction Adjusting UK is part of our Connected Services division and our international team of adjusting specialists based in the UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia provide expertise in construction, property, general liability and other niche adjusting areas.

The Quantity Surveyor (Executive Adjuster) will apply technical expertise and experience to deliver services in the context of the law, professional indemnity insurance and construction. The role involves dealing with professional indemnity insurance construction claims, meeting high client expectations and providing a technically excellent expert and commercially minded service internally within DWF and externally to clients. You will be working with insureds (construction professionals and contractors), brokers, claimants, experts, lawyers and insurers.

This role represents an outstanding opportunity for an aspiring commercial construction professional to join a niche team within a leading global law firm and to play a meaningful part in the future development of a vibrant and growing team. Ideally we are looking for someone Leeds based, however, we are also very open to applicants who are based nationwide.

We are keen to hear from MRICS qualified candidates with commercial construction and procurement experience, ideally from a quantity surveying background across various construction sectors. You will have gained experience across a variety of alternative forms of construction contracts and will have an understanding of construction claims and actual loss.

Life at DWF is fast paced so you will be someone who has an innovative and flexible approach as well as strong organisational / time management skills. It is also important that you can identify with our values of teamwork and client focus.

If you are looking to develop and grow your professional expertise and enhance your career in a legal business that isn't afraid to challenge the norm and go beyond expectations … then apply!
