Your new team

Join our Construction & Property team based in Birmingham, which is a well-established team recruiting into the Construction, Property and Engineering specialisms in the West Midlands markets.

We are looking to expand the team and recruit for a number of driven and commercially focused recruitment professionals to recruit across both the interim and permanent markets here in Birmingham.

We have ambitious growth plans which can enable you to progress your career quickly through strategic or people management as well.

Your new role

As an Experienced Consultant you will become an expert in the Property & Surveying or Civil & Structural Engineering Specialism. You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of candidates and clients and be pro-active in developing valuable, long lasting, meaningful relationships through your business development, social media activity and direct advertising. You will be placing the right candidate into the right role and completing the full end to end recruitment process whilst successfully achieving your targets and KPI's specific to your desk within this results-orientated business.

The construction industry in the UK has managed to continue to operate well in the current market, and there has been significant government investment in major infrastructure projects and commitment to spend public funds on construction programmes across a whole range of sectors. The property market has continued to be a great market with a large number of Local Authorities and other public services investing in property professionals to ensure their estates strategies and correct and ensuring maximising their estates.

Both markets are performing very well nationally at the moment, with a large number of live vacancies on both specialist areas. There is excellent potentially on both desks to bill fees quickly.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally be a Senior Consultant with successful track record in personal billings, from any professional recruitment background with agency recruitment experience. You could also be someone looking to change your career and be a successful sales professional in another industry but with proven success.

You will need to use your commercial recruitment knowledge to deliver against targets in a competitive and well established market. The ability to win business, deliver excellent candidates in more times than others, a candidate short market is essential.

The four core attributes you will require are:

• Experience of recruitment 360 desk delivery
• Development of new business: targeting new cold clients & nurturing existing warm Hays relationships
• Solutions orientated
• Desire to exceed our client's expectations & beat the opposition
