The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Senior Project Managers to join the University’s Capital Development Department which carries responsibility for the delivery of construction projects ranging from £50k to £50m plus.

Working as part of a successful and highly motivated team, you will be able to contribute to the development of the University at a time of major opportunity. A good salary, generous holiday, and a friendly and engaging environment are part of the benefits of this rare opportunity.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for the management of part of a substantial development and refurbishment programme, from initial concept through design, specification, planning, tender preparation and bid evaluation to the supervision of construction, completion and occupation to defined timescales.

You should apply if

You will have experience of working with multi-disciplinary design teams on technically complex construction projects and be able to direct the team in order to achieve the University’s requirements.

You will be enthusiastic, calm under pressure, and have proven construction project management and contract administration skills. You will be comfortable in communicating and negotiating at all levels and have the drive to deliver projects on time, within budget and in accordance with the brief.
