Senior GP Surveyor - Property Management for a global property company with 4 or 5 days per week on offer

Your new company


You will be working for a global real estate company who are one of the worlds largest commercial property organisations. They offer a range of services including property management, project management consultancy, valuations, asset management etc. The organisation have a number of key assets across commercial, industrial and retail.

Your new role

You will be working as a Senior Surveyor within the property management function. This role is acting on behalf of a sole client who's assets are mainly Grade A office space over the wider Midlands area. This enables a closer relationship with the key stakeholders and the opportunity to develop long term relationships.

Based in Birmingham you will be responsible for managing various classes of property throughout the Midlands for Asset Services largest client. This includes high profile City Centre offices, industrial units in and out of town and high street retail assets.

  • Manage the transition of properties in and out of the portfolio
  • Responsible for compliance relating to sites under their control, taking action or escalating any issues relating to non-compliance
  • Carry out property inspections and prepare report for distribution to the Client, ensuring client reports are prepared to the correct specifications and issued to in accordance with agreed timescales.
  • Responsible for provision of accurate insurance data to the client's chosen broker.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all insurance premiums are recharged to tenants
  • Responsible for taking the appropriate action in response to any legal notice received in relation to a managed property



What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally be educated to degree level in building surveying, and ideally a member of MRICS or equivalent.

You will need prior experience in property management roles in Real Estate or Property, ideally consultancy or client side. Constantly updating knowledge of legislation relating to property management and use knowledge of law relating to property management in order to make recommendations to the client.

Ideally looking for someone who is down to earth, pro-active in their approach, and who can engage with a client and work with them well.

Ideally looking for someone with commercial office property management experience before.
