Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor

Permanent Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor role, Civils + Groundworks, Nottinghamshire

Your new company
Due to a significant and sustained increase in work a Nottinghamshire based contractor are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. You will be based out of the Nottinghamshire office but will travel to projects across the Midlands and London.

Your new role
You will be working alongside the Commercial Manager and assisting in the running of multiple projects simultaneously. You will be responsible for the accurate income recovery through applications and valuations / variations. You will also accurately record, monitor and advise on cost and compliance with the given contract. You will be able to review and agree change applications. You will need to be able to liaise directly with clients on site and have a positive, proactive manner. Predominantly the contracts will be differing options of NEC 3 /4. The projects will be civils and groundworks for buildings in the rail sector including, Drainage, Enabling works, Concrete pour, Formwork and Shuttering.


What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong commercial background within civils and groundworks and have a construction related academic qualification, such as a HND or above. You will hold a Full UK Driving License and be happy to travel extensively, lodge may also be required from time to time.
