Your new company
A leading house builder are looking for a Finishing Foreman to assist their Site Teams in the delivery of first class customer care across several Merseyside based developments. This business offer a secure and profitable business model with plenty of room for progression in the role, either in Customer Care or within their Site Management team.

Your new role
You will provide a key support function to the Construction team, helping to ensure customers receive the highest quality product at handover as well as exceptional customer care and defects management for the 12 month period following handover. This will be achieved through being involved in projects during the final snagging period and during the 12 months defects period, receiving defects via a portal, triaging through visiting site and/or photographs and either rectifying or allocating to specialist subcontractors, all whilst maintaining excellent communication with the customer.

You will work hands on with the site delivery team during the closing stages of a project and, as directed, to achieve completion of projects to a high standard. You will react quickly to alerts via the defects portal and ensure remedial works are carried out within the required time frame and closed on the portal once completed.
You will assist with the making good defects process by monitoring, inspecting, and closing out any defects and attaining the making good defects certification (MGD). You will assist through arranging and meeting with inspectors in relation to section agreements and close out any defects at the end of maintenance periods. The role will see you maintain constant communication with the customers regarding booking in times and confirmation defects have been rectified. On occasion you will act as a multi-skilled operative/technician, closing out defects and snags without instruction if you see this as the best way forward. You will work in line with health and safety guidelines, risk assessments and method statements, and not taking any risks that may cause any health and safety issues to yourself, our customers or any other person. You will provide updates to senior management regarding progress of defects on a weekly basis, and build solid relationships with key stakeholders.


What you'll need to succeed
You have worked on new build housing developments before, and have demonstrable experience managing defects, managing in-house teams and subcontractors carrying out defects. You have the ability to work on computer/tablet to log and review snags and defects and communicate to stakeholders. You have a proven ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders including residents, suppliers, subcontractors, clients and other third parties. A relevant site qualifications e.g. Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), First Aid at work certificate and Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is ideal but not essential for the role however a driving license is needed for the position.


What you'll get in return
A basic salary negotiable up to £40k plus company vehicle, 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, 7% employer contribution pension, and an excellent overall company benefits package. 8-5 working hours plus an early finish on Fridays.
