Job Details
NEW Job - Interior Designer required for Full Time permanent role nr Watford working on Residential projects.
Interior Designer:
Full-time, immediate start with one Saturday a month.
Profile:
You should come with a proven strong background and more than 3 years' experience in interior design for private residential, developers and show home clients.
Furthermore, strong FF&E experience across a broad spectrum of price points is important along with strong spatial awareness skills and attention to detail. An advantage if you have detailed knowledge of fabric and wallpaper companies.
The ideal candidate must be proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, AutoCad, Sketchup, and other 3D modelling packages.
Ideally, you would have some knowledge of residential furniture & lighting sales, with some experience of UK and European (Italian / Spanish / Portuguese) brands; this would be a distinct advantage but is not essential. In house training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide background evidence of working on projects
from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to Design Director
- Managing private client and showhome interior design briefs
- Sourcing, designing and implementing interior design schemes for clients
- Prepare presentations and mood boards on time and to our high-quality standards
- Liaison with suppliers and in house Customer Service team
- Working on pricings, quotations; prepare client budgets and costings
- Design show homes and collaborate with the broader design team on larger projects where needed
- Undertake surveys and measurements as required
- Assist the Design Director in managing workflow
- Attend client meetings, installations and manage onsite fitting team
- Work with Design Director to generate new business
- Being a multi-faceted role, need to be able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
