M&E Policy & Transformation Manager

M&E Policy & Transformation Manager £40,000 - £70,000 plus package.

Your new company
You will be working for a large established national company within telecoms. This is a new opportunity to join the mechanical and electrical engineering team based from either Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham or Ipswich offices.


Your new role
You will be responsible for ensuring the policy documents for the M&E business are streamlined to meet modern requirements and then maintained in line with changes in technology or approach. You will work directly in a team of 75 across the M&E business but will be in a stand alone role as the policy and document transformation manager. You will play will play a key role in the ongoing transformation of businesses M&E Platform, and will be responsible for putting the process, documentation and governance in place for any new ways of working and technical policy that is implemented. All of this will require the role holder to develop. You will also roll out identified innovative approaches to the M&E business and its documentation around training, design, standards, specifications etc, working on the development of business cases to support such innovation. You will constantly be looking at how to improve the m&e strategy and policies.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be from a mechanical and electrical engineering background but must have demonstrable experience in understanding M&E policies and procedures.
You will have working knowledge of The Electricity at Work Act, The Health and Safety at Work Act & Construction (Design & Management) Regulations.
You will be able to drive transformation and change across a business and have a good understanding of technical documentation. You will be serving as an externally recognised M&E expert influencing industry forums and external boards through technical expertise.
You will ideally of worked in a telecoms or data centre setting before.
