Project Manager (Facilities Management), Cardiff, temporary, 6 months plus, £200 per day, immediate start

Your new role
The Facilities department are looking for a Project Manager to support and drive their Smart and Agile working projects.

Working as a key part of the Facilities team, the Project Manager will support the Facilities Management (FM) team in driving projects forward from initial planning, implementing and delivering a final product.

The role is an ideal for someone with existing Project Management skills and experience to develop and assist the FM team with their project management framework and standards. The role will see you working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.

The role will involve supporting or managing the delivery of a varied mix of projects, by organising and coordinating tasks, creating project plans, engaging stakeholders, managing timelines and relationships to ensure on-time delivery.

You'll also need to use you're project management experience to assist and implement a standardised project approach for the FM team, ensuring that the correct plans, documentation, procedures and are in place to consistently manage each project. You will begin by working on existing projects and initiatives, but the scope of the role is much wider for the right candidate to spot new opportunities and drive them forward.

Key responsibilities;

  • To support the FM team in the delivery of internal customer facing projects
  • Documenting project objectives
  • Capturing project actions
  • Maintaining project actions, decision, risk and issues registers
  • Ensuring that the critical success factors of the project are met
  • Developing and maintaining a close relationship with business stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects
  • To provide high level, realistic and detailed projects plans
  • Sharing lessons or best practice with the FM team
  • All projects must be fully documented and regular reports providing details of progress must be produced and distributed to relevant parties (Steering Committees, FM team, 3rd parties)

What you'll get in return
You will be paid a daily rate of £200 per day via Hays on a weekly basis. Projected length of contract is 6 months but it may be longer. Experience of working with an innovative, forward thinking and professional company. The role will be a mixture of working from home and office based, 3:2 ratio. Immediate start.
