Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to oversee a design team and deliver sustainable building services
Your new company
A forward thinking mid -sized multi-disciplinary consultancy who specialise in integrated design for architecture, interior design, master-planning, building services and civil & structural engineering are looking to recruit for their dynamic, multi-disciplined team. They focus on sustainable, high quality, inspiring integrated designs across a range of sectors including healthcare, high end residential, commercial, education, industrial and mixed use developments.
Your new role
You will be joining the organisation as an Associate Mechanical Designer and be responsible for leading the mechanical side of the business reporting into the Building Services Director.
You will be very client facing and be responsible for the delivery of projects from the inception, through to detailed design phase to delivery, engaging with multi-disciplined teams on some projects and building services only projects in others. You would be responsible for quality assurance across the mechanical services outputs. There is a strong emphasis on sustainable building services and they are proud to be at the forefront of BIM.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have a Degree or HNC/HNC in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Ideally a member of CIBSE or IMECHE & ideally IEng or CEng.
An understanding of BIM / REVIT technology
A person who is interested in the detail and who is able to support and mentor other engineers
Strong communicator and able to talk and work with clients to get the correct outputs.
Some ability to organically grow relationships with customers for future workloads
