Quantity Surveyor

Builder Developer with strong pipeline of work across multiple sectors seeks QS to join their team in Edin.

Your new company
Our client are a well established builder developer based in Edinburgh with a large pipeline of multi sector work commencing in Edinburgh this year. With this work in progress they are seeking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their business and assist in the commercial delivery of these projects.


Your new role
This role will be multi-faceted and will have exposure to all elements of the construction lifecycle from initial cost planning and budgeting to managing projects on the ground and final accounts.With this in mind they are seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who wants to apply their skillset across the full lifecycle and who perhaps feels constrained working in their current environment. With your existing construction knowledge across residential and commercial projects you will be expected to apply your experience quickly and add value immediately. This is a role which will appeal to a Quantity Surveyor seeking something a bit more fluid and less focused on processing and administration.


What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or similar and have already well developed experience in the delivery of residential or commercial developments. You understand cost planning , procurement and contracts management and are driven by producing exceptional commercial results for your employer. You enjoy working in a small team and self motivated and driven who enjoys multi-tasking on multiple projects at any one time.
