Business Development Manager (Construction) - London - £60,000 + package
Our client is a top tier national main contractor, you will be joining their London business. Their projects range across education, commercial, leisure & healthcare in the value of £5m - £60m covering London and the Home Counties. As Business Development Manager, reporting to the Business Development Director, you will be working with business development support and relevant bid teams. Developing quality bid submissions, including stakeholder analysis and obtaining relevant information to assess client focus and pertinent issues to be addressed in submissions.
Presenting the business to potential clients and consultants through direct communication, in face to face meetings, telephone calls and e-mails you will: Attend meetings and events with clients and potential clients. Generate leads and appointments for preliminary interviews and briefings. Report on Business Development activities to your Director and the management board. Manage a pipeline of opportunities ensuring that all deadlines are met and that information presented meets the company standards. Assist in the creation of client proposals and any subsequent documentation as part of the submission team. Develop a thorough understanding of client's objectives, their organisation, their personnel and their capital works programmes. Keeping yourself informed about issues affecting the industry sector and monitor and collect competitor information. Maintain contacts with other Group Business Development Managers to ensure a cross flow of information. Produce a report of opportunities and leads which is updated on a monthly basis. Monitor and report on Client Satisfaction Forms and produce information on a monthly basis for the Key Performance Indicators.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
You will have recognised qualifications and / or proven track record in similar discipline.
A proven track record in delivering sales within the construction market and proven experience in business development activities.
You will have exceptional relationship management and networking abilities coupled with a genuine passion for the construction sector.
You must have strong communication skills in all forms.
