Your new company
My client is an independent firm of Chartered Surveyors providing surveying, design, planning consultancy and valuation services, across Kent, Sussex and Surrey. They work with local authorities, landowners, developers, and private residential clients on a range of projects from small bespoke packages to larger residential developments, which can sometimes include heritage, conservation and listed building works.
As part of their growth plans, they are now looking to bring a Building Surveyor on to work within their design and planning team and add value to the business by bringing a technical understanding from a surveying point of view. This will allow the Director to work with the MD to achieve more of the strategic plans to grow and develop the business, which in time, will allow the Surveyor to grow and develop the team.
The business is small but busy practice, so it's of great importance that they recruit the right people that fit within the team and the environment in which they work. They currently operate a working practice of one week in the office and one week from home so that there is a blend and work life balance. They also operate from within a working farm, owned by the MD and Partner, so there is livestock within the grounds and 2 dogs that will access the offices - so the successful candidate will need to be OK with sharing their environment.
