Infrastructure Manager - Associate
MRG are working exclusively with Harwell Campus, the highly regarded science and innovation campus based in Oxfordshire. We are seeking exceptional candidates to take on the role of Infrastructure Manager - Associate. This high profile role will be responsible for managing all aspects of infrastructure development on the Harwell Campus.
The dynamic and world-renowned 700-acre campus is rapidly growing and is a key contributor to the UK economy. At the forefront of new research and innovation, Harwell is rich in heritage and was originally a RAF station in the 1940s, later developing into one of the worlds leading atomic energy research establishments. With significant Government support and investment into science facilities, Harwell is now a growing and vibrant place to work and the base for a host leading organisations ranging from Airbus and the Medical Research Council to the Williams F1 team. The world renowned Campus is a major employer within the area with over 6,000 individuals directly employed on the site and this is due to grow to over 20,000 over the next few years.
With the campus growing, the Infrastructure Manager - Associate will be responsible for leading the development of all civil engineering related works including road construction, site investigation, demolition and most importantly the power, communication, drainage and sewerage utilities networks within the campus.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing the Strategic Utilities Plan for the campus in order to develop capacity and deliver an ever improving facility to the existing and future site users.
- Assessing, selecting, and leading various consultants utilised in the development of the campus.
- Leading the planning, design, procurement and construction of the campus road, car parks and access corridors.
- Provide project management input into the delivery of all works in a sustainable and effective manner.
- Provide a monitoring brief with third party campus projects.
- Assessment of infrastructure proposals on Campus land for stakeholders and utility companies.
- Providing the Campus board with construction updates, budget and financial information and cost schedules.
To be considered for the role you will ideally possess;
- A suitable degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
- Have a successful track record of leading similar civils activities.
- Be able to demonstrate your experience of working closely with utility providers to facilitate the successful expansion and upgrading of services.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrate a keen commercial focus.
- Be an exceptional relationship builder
