Permanent Intermediate Quantity Surveyor role, Derbyshire, Civils and Build Contractor - Competitive salary

Your new company
You will be working for a highly successful civils and build contractor in the derbyshire area. The organisation have an outstanding track record in their sectors of work which include; Industrial, water treatment, drainage and energy. Having maintained a lengthy period of sustained workload and recent project wins they company are now seeking an intermediate quantity surveyor to join their commercial team.

Your new role
You will report directly into the commercial director as part of the commercial team which includes Quantity Surveyors, Estimators and Buyers. The role will be a hands on Intermediate Quantity Surveyor running your own smaller projects with the assistance of senior quantity surveyors. The projects will be Industrial buildings, small/medium scale civil engineering projects, drainage and concrete structures. Ultimately you will be responsible for the commercial viability and success of the projects including profit and cashflow. The role will involve measurement/ re-measurement, subcontractor procurement / liaison, reviewing variations, amending/ updating programmes.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong commercial background with a number between 2 to 5 years of postgraduate Quantity Surveying experience in the relevant sectors. You will also hold a full UK driving license. You will have excellent NEC & JCT contract knowledge and be a proactive, commercially aware individual.
