Your new company
You will be working for a main contractor based in Nottinghamshire. The organisation are an award winning contractor who operate in a range of sectors including; Education, Accommodation, Industrial, Commercial and Healthcare. Due to continued success in the market an exciting opportunity now exists for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their ranks.
Your new role
The position is open to Quantity Surveyors of all levels however the preference is for a candidate that is able to run their own projects. Candidates of a more junior level may still be considered. The role with involve cost control of multi sector projects.You will also manage subcontractor procurement through to negotiation and order placement, you will also manage valuations and payments to final accounts. Furthermore you will provide commercial support to the contracts team and prepare const reports. Client liaison is also key when dealing with valuations and variations. The role will also encompass contract administration.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will have a strong permanent background of working for main contractors across multiple sectors with values ranging from £2.5M to £25M plus. Ideally you will be degree qualified with excellent communication skills and experience of various contract forms including NEC & JCT. You will be a proactive enthusiastic candidate who is highly organised. Full UK driving licence also required
