Senior Quantity Surveyor

Your new company
The company is a progressive, tight-knit organisation with an excellent track record of delivering specialist construction projects to £5m in value across a range of sectors including health, education, heritage and municipal buildings. As a result a programme of continued, sustainable business growth, they now require the services of a high-performing, experience project QS to provide commercial control on diverse projects across the South-West.

Your new role
Reporting to the directors, you will be responsible for the successful commercial management of projects using in the main JCT forms of contract, with duties including conducting surveys and measuring, assisting with the preparation of bids, negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers, managing subcontractor accounts, preparing financial reports, submitting valuations and variations and taking each project through to final account.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll ideally have a tertiary qualification in quantity surveying or construction management, be able to demonstrate a stable employment history with recognised building contractors and have an innate ability to maximise financial return on projects you have been responsible for.
