Your new company

Founded in 2006, Matrix Networks has seen huge year on year growth and more than a decade later, are operating out of three UK offices. They are responsible for the Infrastructure Installations for a range of clients who see them as market leaders. They are currently about to embark on an extraordinary journey of growth and new market exploration, and they are looking or the right people to be part of their future. As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for the commercial aspects of the projects and working within an already established team.

Your new role

Within this role you will be involved in a variety of commercial tasks working alongside the current Managing Quantity Surveyor. You will deal with projects from inception to completion and be the point of contact for the client every step of the way.

Your day to day role will include site visits to project sites; carrying our site audits; ensuring Project Managers and Site Managers adhere to Matrix methods of practice; assisting them to anticipate and avoid issues on site and raise EWN's when necessary; ensure safe working practices; keep Project Managers up to date on project costs; applying for payments to schedule; carry out CVR's on a regular basis; subcontractor management; attending pre start meetings; pricing of variations and explaining these variations to the client and also having an awareness of Contracts, NEC and JCT D&B.

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally they are looking for someone who has experience working within a similar sector/field within a QS position. Your experience could be directly within the utilities sector or you could currently work for a civil engineering contractor - both options would be of interest to the client. You will ideally be degree qualified or have enough experience within a similar role to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise.

What you'll get in return

In return they can offer a competitive salary and package, the chance for career progression and development and the opportunity to join a growing contractor in their field.
