Your new company
A highly valued customer to Hays, the company is a leading national contractor with a focus on client satisfaction to generate repeat business, innovative design and a flexible but professional culture designed to stimulate new ideas and free up decision making at a local level. As a result of securing a place on a number of key construction frameworks, they have a requirement for an experienced quantity surveyor to join their tight-knit commercial team in their South West head office. Projects are multimillion pound schemes in the healthcare, education and defence sectors.


Your new role
You will be joining an established, successful commercial team based in the south-west and receive the support and guidance from an experienced commercial manager and group of Senior QS's. With a focus on skilfully managing the commercial aspect of your projects, you will be responsible for accurate commercial reporting, budget/forecast comparisons and subcontractor account management.


What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have good working knowledge of both NEC and JCT forms of contract, hold an HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or a related subject and hold or be working towards RICS status. A strong team ethic and clear and concise communication in all forms are also requirements of this stimulating and challenging role.
