Your new role

The role within the Design & Technical Department is to create, update and issue construction information. Entering at a trainee / junior / assistant level with training and support to grow with the role. The role will encompass architectural design, the investigations of any technical problems encountered and provision of economical and viable solutions. This will involve liaison with and co-ordination of external professionals. As a Junior Technician you will be given designed layouts to work on and produce construction information for site issue. You will work towards critical analysis of construction details including checking of external supplied information and the responsibility for ensuring accuracy of information produced. In addition, you will be updating existing house type drawings. You will provide technical support and information to Construction, Commercial and Sales departments and maintain good communication to ensure the required level of service is maintained. You will update existing House Type ranges with recommended or required improvements. The role will also include the submission of NHBC applications and obtain approvals. You will utilise in-house Document Management System, and maintain good understanding of Building Regulations and construction issues that affect the You will implement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organisation's goals and enhancing the reputation of the company, and obtain and check information from external consultants, suppliers and manufacturers for supplementing working drawings. You will visit Sites to inspect house types and discuss construction issues, and ensure updated drawings are issued in accordance with department procedures.



What you'll need to succeed
You are working towards your degree or have recently graduated in an architectural/design based subject and ideally have some industry experience/ work experience under your belt.
