Macdonald & Company are currently working on an Estates Officer vacancy with an East London based local authority offering between £30-33k p.a. DOE.
Job responsibilities
- Preparing, procuring and maintaining asset valuations in respect of the Council`s property portfolio
- Valuation of land and buildings for all purposes
- To undertake/procure the management of the Council`s commercial, agricultural and operational property portfolio including rent reviews, lease renewals and new lettings
- Utilising a computer terrier system for the maintaining and updating of property records
- Perform a project management role in respect of capital and other property schemes
- Establishing, maintaining and monitoring a repairs programme in respect of Council properties in accordance with procedures
- Oversight of preparation of condition and dilapidation schedules for serving upon tenants including monitoring to ensure that such scheduled are adhered to by lessees, and enforcement of repairing liabilities and the recovery of repair expenditure contributions from commercial tenants
- To monitor and update all computerised central property records and data
- The agreement of leasing and rental terms with community groups having regard to the Council`s policies and general consents allowing the Council to dispose of property at less than market value
- To prepare reports for the Council and clients
