Your new company
Based in Northwest London this public sector organisation are looking for a Covid Response Project Manager to join their Covid Emergency Response Team, initially on a 6 month rolling contract basis.
This is a new team has been created specifically to manage the organisation's Covid strategy and to formulate plans on how to manage all aspects of their Covid response. This includes test site identification, rolling out the testing programme, data analysis, tracking cases and many other Covid related responsibilities.
You will be working from home but there will be the occasional site visits due to the nature of the job.
Your new role
As the Response Project Manager your job will be to ensure essential services can remain operating effectively.
You will be responsible for the Covid-19 services such as testing, enforcement, isolation benefits, business grants, local track and trace, community hub management amongst other related responsibilities.
You will also liaise with internal departments to review the services and projects to ensure maximin efficiency and provide support to the wider teams in general, to help manage the pandemic within the local area.
The job is fast paced, and the scope of responsibilities can change on short notice due to the nature of the pandemic so being versatile and flexible are essential requirements of this job.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you must have excellent project management skills and be able to demonstrate your experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders and partners. You will need to have experience of working with community groups and have an understanding of governance processes. It is highly desirable that you have experience of working in the public sector either in a local or central government environment.
If you have a background in Policy, HR, Change Management, Emergency Response Management it will enhance your application. You will need to be highly organised and be ready to handle unique and challenging situations.
