Hays have been appointed exclusively to work on a new and exciting position with London Fire Brigade.

Your new company
London Fire Brigade (LFB) are one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. There are 103 Fire Stations across the London Boroughs split into 5 districts, along with a Call Centre and Head Office. LFB also form part of the Greater London Authority organisations which also include TfL and London Metropolitan Police.

Your new role
The position sits within the property services team and is responsible for overseeing the commercial relationship for the Property Group's key suppliers, ensuring the contract requirements are met and the fire stations are adequately maintained to support operational response. You will be one of 2 Facilities Managers who will oversee the estate, approx. 50 sites each, ensuring Hard & Soft FM Services are delivered to the highest possible standard. The Facilities Manager will also have an FM Officer supporting and reporting into each.
Working alongside the Contract Management team who are responsible for the day to day management of the FM service contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
* Management of Hard & Soft FM Services
* Liaising and meeting with key stakeholders including Station Commanders
* Site Audits
* Management of budgets
* Oversee and Plan Projects
* Statutory and Regulatory Compliance
* Report Writing


What you'll need to succeed
The preferred candidate will have a relevant FM and health & safety qualifications, develop a full and detailed knowledge and understanding of the contracts and reflect the LFB's policies and procedures as required. They will be a primary focus for engagement with estate users so effective team engagement and strong communication skills will need to be demonstrated.


Essential Requirements:
* Technical FM qualifications or extensive knowledge of Hard FM services - including maintenance, cleaning & waste
* IOSH or NEBOSH
* Membership of a professional industry body - IWFM, IET, CIBSE
* Experience of delivering Hard & Soft FM Services into Commercial Properties
* Extensive understanding of M&E engineering and building fabric maintenance, including detailed knowledge of relevant areas of legislation
* In-depth knowledge of asset and risk management strategies
* Experience of Supplier/customer relationship management.
* Ability to manage effective relationships with senior management/ stakeholders.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
