Business Development Manager for a growing Construction Fit out contractor to help drive flooring contracts

Your new company

You will be working for a growing family owned business who are young and agile who are looking to expand their flooring division and recruit a Business Development Manager to be based from the West Midlands office who can help the business grow expand by helping to to establish new contacts within the construction industry, and promote their quality flooring contracting offering. The culture of the organisation is one of collaboration and getting stuck in to delivery a good quality service for their customers.

Your new role

You will be responsible for building relationships with QS's / decision makers, within the main contracting and fit out / refurbishment industry and be looking to promote their hard and soft flooring capabilities for commercial, industrial and public sector projects. You will also be responsible for identifying and submitting paperwork for construction frameworks to increase the number of framework awards, and also be responsible for working with the existing frameworks to build relationships and contract wins from the existing frameworks and contract relationships. Target contract values are between 50K - 600k projects. There is also the need to have knowledge of a supply chain as well for delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced sales professional and have experience in the flooring industry. You will have some established relationships with contractors and ideally have worked for a construction contractor or a flooring contractor previously.
You will have strong sales and business development skills, some estimating skills, ability to build long lasting relationships and have a passion for delivering a quality services for a customer.

What you'll get in return
There is a good basic salary available of between £33,000-40,000, along with a profit share scheme, car, phone, laptop, pension and 25 days leave.
