You will be working for a Derbyshrie based Contractor who specialise in working in the rail sector. The role is not for the track side operation but the construction arm of the business who undertake repairs extensions and new build elements of the train station. The organisation are now seeking a permanent Health & Safety coordinator/ advisor to join their team.
Your new role
You will be working alongside the Operational team and Directors to ensure that the Health and Safety on site and in the office is compliant. You will ensure risk assessments are in place to cover all areas of the business and you will assist all departments in carrying out risk control procedures. You will coordinate health and safety audits and advise of findings, issuing non compliance reports and action plans to correct any problems. In addition to the above you will complete H&S reports to the operational leads and MD and have the ability to assist all departments with completion of tender and pre-qualification documents
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role you will have worked within the construction industry recently in a similar heath and safety capacity. Health and Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH would be advantageous as would experience with ISO 45001 AND ISO 14001 management systems. A full UK driving license is also required.
