Hays have been approached by a top property consultancy to help them recruit a Director of Building Surveying for their Edinburgh office. My client is considered to be one of the top organisations in the industry in providing building surveying to the private and public sectors. If you are Associate looking to make that next step, this could be a great opportunity as you will be involved in developing the overall Scottish Building Surveying Team.


You will get full exposure to commercial building surveying including, due diligence, contract administration, planned preventative maintenance, dilapidation's and party walls. Previous experience working in a private practice surveying firm is essential for this role.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous private practice experience working at either Associate or Director level
• A good mixed project sector range (health, education, retail, office and residential would be ideal)
• Experienced in business development
• Previous management experience is essential for this role
