PERMANENT POSITION FOR A CLERK OF WORKS TO JOIN THE GUINNESS PARTNERSHIP IN EXETER AND SOUTH WEST

Your new company
Hays are working in partnership with The Guinness Partnership to recruit for a Clerk of Works to join their South West based development team on a permanent basis. Your new company was founded in 1890, and have been providing homes for over 120 years'. Over the next three years Guinness have plans to continue to build a large number of homes across the country - this is an opportunity to become a part of this exciting new build programme.

Your new role
Your new job as a Clerk of Works will provide you with an opportunity to influence the way Guinness deliver new build and regeneration programmes across the South West. You will monitor the quality of both materials and workmanship on site, ensuring compliance with the development agreement as well as drawings and specifications. Working in partnership with the contractor and the consultants team, you'll help to support the overall objectives of the build, in particular time, cost and quality, keeping accurate records on site throughout.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you'll need to have either experience in a residential Clerk of Works position previously, or have experience as a Site Manager or similar construction professional within a residential setting. It is essential that you have excellent knowledge of current building regulations as well as a keen eye for technical detail across all construction phases.
