H&S Advisor / Manager

Experienced H&S professional is required for this specialist Civil Engineering business in Lancashire

Your new company
A leading specialist Civil Engineering company is looking to recruit a Health & Safety professional to join their organisation. This position will be looking after contracts across the UK, and based from the office in Lancashire

Your new role
Working alongside the senior management team of this specialist business, this is a standalone position encompassing all of their sites across the UK. You'll be responsible in ensuring the correct H&S practices and strategies are carried out in accordance with the operations procedures, incl:

• Managing and ensuring RAMS are in place across all sites
• Carrying out site audits and supporting the site teams on all H&S matters, incl accident prevention and reporting
• Sound knowledge of IMS and the implementation, management and maintenance of various quality standards, incl ISO18001, CHAS and Achilles
• Ensuring a high level of H&S culture is embedded in the business, including supporting all stakeholders and employees
• Ensuring H&S training is carried out and the implementation of any progressive practices are in place
• Reporting to the Senior Management Team
• Stayovers across the UK will be required

What you'll need to succeed
You'll have prior experience of working within the Civil Engineering sector, including experience of working on Groundworks, Heavy Civils, Foundations or Piling schemes

You'll be at an Advisor or Manager level and possess NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications. You'll have experience of working on projects varied in size from £100k to £10m and will have the tenacity and approach to drive a proactive safety culture
