Electrical Estimator - Nottingham - £30-40k (negotiable) Small Electrical Contractor

Your new company
A small Nottingham based electrical building services company who deliver electrical install projects for clients in the residential and commercial sectors. Recent projects include fit out hotels, domestic housing, health centres, warehouses and leisure facilities. Typical projects range from £10k - £1million.

They are looking for an experience Electrical Estimator to support the team to produce tenders / estimates in order to help secure future projects and develop client relationships

Your new role

You will support the Project Managers / Directors by producing estimates for a wide range of electrical services projects. You will attend tender stage meetings with end clients. You will interpret electrical design drawings, create a 'take off' of materials, calculate labour costs and create tender documents ready to submit. You may also be required to assist with buying / procurement of materials.
Projects will typically range from £10k - £1million in value.

This is a new role within the organisation and will allow for the right candidate to develop the role and put their own spin on things. An excellent opportunity to grow an estimating department in its infancy.

What you'll need to succeed

• At least 1-2 years in an Electrical Estimator role
• Experience tendering for projects with values up to £1million
• A good mix of residential and commercial project experience
• Experience of business development and a good client based would be beneficial
• HNC in Electrical Engineering (desirable but not essential)
• Electrical background as an Electrician
• Able to interpret electrical drawings / schematics
• Performing take offs from design drawings
• Client facing and good communicator
• I.T proficient (Microsoft Office - Excel)
