Your new company
Based in North London this public-sector organisation is currently looking to recruit a Fire Safety Manager to join their Capital Works team to help manage the FRA's and remedial works for their corporate and commercial properties. They manage works in excess of £250k and due to an increase in live projects are now looking to expand the team.
The organisation's offices are based in a very commutable location with excellent transport links for both buses and trains. Many local shops and restaurants are only a short walk from their office making this a very vibrant local community.
The organisation is also encouraging Working From Home (WFH) wherever possible.

Your new role

As the Fire Safety Manager, you will:
* Review Fire/Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) issues highlighted within consultants reports and compliance reviews both on site and desktop in conjunction with Compliance Officers.
* Aiding with specification and procurement of remedial works to ensure compliance with fire, statutory and H&S regulations/Acts.
* Advising and producing written reports on FRA /Fire issues generally.
* Plan detailed escape routes in case of emergencies

The organisation manages a variety of buildings from Schools to Grade 1 and Grade 2 listed buildings which all pose their own unique challenges which on occasion will require some creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful it is essential that you have:
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
* A Qualification in fire safety/engineering.
* Solid background and experience in fire risk assessing and inspection within the industry.
* Excellent English literacy, report writing and communication skills.
* Ability and experience in use varying Microsoft software packages.

As the projects are predominately focused on educational buildings it will be a distinct advantage if you have this specific experience. This however is not essential, if you are an experienced Fire Safety Manager with a varied background which includes residential buildings and other corporate and commercial assets you will still be considered for the job.

What you'll get in return
Flexible working options available.
Competitive Day Rate
Accessible Location
Long Term Contract
