Head of Development – Tawd Valley
Tawd Valley Developments; a wholly owned development company of West Lancashire Borough Council was formed back in 2019. A key role of the company is to facilitate the building of much needed new housing for sale and affordable rent in West Lancashire. We have an ambition to build up to 340 homes over the next 5 years and work has already started on Phase One to build 77 homes in Skelmersdale over the next 12 months, including a number to be retained by the Council for social housing.
About the role
Tawd Valley Developments will help the Council achieve its priorities and generate income for West Lancashire. The company will also secure additional private and Government investment into the Borough, create relationships with landowners, developers and investors and provide property and commercial expertise. This will deliver financial and regeneration benefits for the Borough and to ensure that all of this happens we are now seeking to recruit to the role of Head of Development.
Our Head of Development will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of residential developments, identifying, creating, appraising, and delivering social housing development projects and housing for market sale with due regard for value for money.
The organisation has ambitious growth plans and a key role of the company is to facilitate the building of much needed new affordable housing in the area to benefit people across the Borough.
If you would like to be part of this relatively new venture and contribute to the delivery of our vision, then we would like to hear from you.
