Junior Mechanical Project Engineer - Mechanical Building Services Contractor - Nottingham - £30-35k

Your new company
A small mechanical building services contractor based in Nottingham are looking to appoint a Junior Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team to assist with design, estimating and delivery stages of mechanical services (HVAC) install projects for the commercial / industrial sectors.

Your new role
You will be required to assist with design, tendering and project management for mechanical install projects, including; modular fabrication, plumbing & pipework, skids and full plant room for a wide range of construction projects. You will produce design drawings using AutoCAD, interpret designs and perform 'take off' of materials, calculate labour costs, risk assessments, site surveys and assist with project delivery

What you'll need to succeed

• 1-2 years in a building services design role
• Background as a plumber / pipe fitter looking to move into an office based role
• Able to interpret mechanical design drawings
• HNC / HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (desirable)
• Computer literate - Microsoft office and AutoCAD would be advantageous
• Experience designing HVAC systems / plant rooms desirable
• Estimating / job pricing experience
