Principal Planning Officer - Working from Home
Excellent agile opportunity for an experienced principal level Planning Officer to join a local authority
Your new company
As a Principal Planning Officer you will join a government organisation who are based in the South West, however have a progressive (non-COVID related) attitude towards work, and as such are presenting an opportunity for you to work solely from home, with occasional trips into the South West for meetings. In order to achieve this way of working, your new employer have put together a collaborative structure, which allows for enhanced levels of team work and collaboration.
Your new role
Joining a high performing planning department, you will play a key role in supervising a team of planning an enforcement officers, working on a range of planning applications, mainly major development proposals and enforcement matters. As part of your role you will prepare appeal statements, appear at public enquiries and attend committees whilst advising other council departments on planning matters.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position you will need to have a planning degree or equivalent, be a member of the RTPI, evidence continuous professional development across your career, and also have experience in working client-side for local authorities.
What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an initial starting salary of up to £43000 per year, alongside a generous annual leave entitlement and an excellent government pension scheme. You'll have the opportunity to work from home as much as you'd like, as well as visiting the office when required.
