Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor - Leicestershire


A well known building contractor based in Leicestershire are looking for an experienced QS/Senior QS to join their business in order to help add value to the commercial team as well as look after a number of new jobs/developments that are due to start. This contractor deal predominantly within the housing market - however they do work on a number of commercial jobs as well

Ideally you will come from a contracting background and have experience working on housing/social housing and commercial projects. Your role will involve:

• Procurement of Sub-Contract; Consultant and Supply only packages;
• Analysis of work package tender returns;
• Preparation of Orders with Sub-Contractors, Consultants and Suppliers;
• Contribute to the preparation if interim and final account applications for the Company and likewise internal cost and value reconciliation reports;
• Subject to the approval of the Commercial Manager value and agree Changes/Variations with the Employer;
• Maintain accurate records
• Carry out take-off, measurement, scheduling exercises and prepare bills of quantities for the procurement and sub-letting processes;
• Assist with and respond to project level correspondence;

• Attend project related meetings;
• Integrate and liaise with the site team.
